We are looking for a passionate and motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team. This internship is designed as a core learning experience, providing you with direct mentorship from senior engineers as you help us build the next generation of client SDKs. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work with top-notch game studios, and contribute to the technology that powers our biggest games.

Your Learning Opportunity & Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior engineers to contribute to the development of SDK APIs for our top Consoles, PC, and Mobile games.
  • Learn and apply best practices in C++ to collaborate on high-quality, cross-platform code.
  • Assist in the documentation, testing and releasing process for new features, gaining insight into professional software quality standards.
  • Gain exposure to the full development lifecycle by working alongside producers and engineers.
  • Actively participate in code reviews to sharpen your skills and understand how a professional team builds software.
  • Develop your problem-solving abilities by helping debug technical challenges with guidance from your mentor.
Your Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Coursework or project experience in C++ and a foundational understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Familiarity with using AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to improve development efficiency is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Lua, C#) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce) is a plus.

You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026.

At this time, we are considering Undergradstudents who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$65,000 - $70,000 CAD

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
