Job Overview

We are seeking a Design Manager for our client in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Their services include leasing, design, construction and property management, offering an integrated approach that carries projects from concept to completion. Reporting to the General Manager, the Design Manager will be involved from early pre-construction planning to final drawing completion — collaborating closely with tenants, internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will combine strong design skills with practical construction understanding to bring our clients' concepts to life.

Duties

  • Prepare design drawings and plans using Revit and AutoCAD for commercial, office and industrial developments.
  • Create site plans, buildings, floor plans, renderings, and drawings to visually communicate design.
  • Support preconstruction activities, including tenant coordination, needs assessment and space planning.
  • Collaborate with trades, subcontractors and our in-house construction team to price design work, develop budgets and ensure constructability.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and supporting digital materials.
  • Review and apply building codes, zoning bylaws and City of Winnipeg regulations in design work.
  • Participate in design-to-construction reviews and site visits to understand field applications.
  • Maintain organized project documentation within Procore and Microsoft tools.
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions that enhance the functionality, efficiency and visual appeal of projects.
