Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with both hand and power tools. This role involves assembling components and products in a warehouse environment, ensuring that all items meet quality standards and specifications. The Assembler will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Duties
- Experience assembling large and small trailers an asset
- Assemble pre-manufactured parts to build trailers.
- Installing items like floors, walls, roofing, wiring, lights, and doors.
- Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly and connect cables, tubes and wires.
- Fasten parts together using bolting and riveting equipment or other fastening and joining techniques
- Performing inspections of parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble various components and products according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Fabricate parts as needed, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Operate forklifts for transporting materials within the warehouse as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
Mechanical inspection:
- Check subassemblies and inspect finished products for proper quality
- Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
- Test and check electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs.
Experience
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing roles is preferred.
- Mechanical Aptitude, a good understanding of mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to use a tape measure and perform basic calculations.
- Attention to Detail, ability to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies in assembly.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety practices.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
