Reporting to the Manager, Spiritual Care Services, the Spiritual Care Provider will provide direct spiritual care to individuals and programs as needed. You will focus on providing care to various programs throughout CAMH. To assist in this position, the Spiritual Care Provider will have demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge in Mental Health and Addictions. You will use spiritual care best practices and psychotherapeutic modalities in combination with the mission, vision and values of CAMH to assist in building a community of cooperation, support, with an emphasis on developing spiritual awareness within a diverse environment, throughout the organization. You will work as part of the existing Spiritual Care Services team and assist the department in its endeavours. Protecting the confidentiality, privacy and dignity of clients is of utmost importance in this position. Your duties will also include administering and communicating the department's policies and procedures, as well as advocating for ethical client care. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is primarily located at the Queen St. site, with occasional travel to other locations as needed. This position will work directly with clients in the Complex Mental Illness program.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Psychospiritual Studies or equivalent. You will also be certified as a Specialist in Clinical Psychospiritual Care or be in process towards certification with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) and be a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). You will have excellent verbal and written skills as well as computer competence. Specialized knowledge or familiarity with Mental Health and Addictions issues is vital to this position.
Please Note
: This is a full-time, temporary position and is NOT part of any bargaining unit.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Salary Range: $83,797.50 – $94,272.19 per year (based on qualifications and experience)
- Full Salary Range: $83,797.50 – $125,696.26 per year (reflecting potential growth within the role)
