About the role

Shoot Marketing is looking for a reliable videography assistant to join me on client shoots. You will help film short-form marketing content for local businesses including dealerships, contractors, service companies, and brands.

This is a hands-on field role. You will be on location, filming with cameras and supporting content production days.

Perfect for someone who enjoys video, wants real client experience, and is comfortable working in fast paced environments.

What you will do

  • Assist during on-site video shoots
  • Film b-roll and secondary angles
  • Help set up and manage camera, audio, and lighting gear
  • Capture short form content for social media
  • Follow shot lists and creative direction
  • Help keep shoots organized and efficient
  • Occasionally capture behind the scenes content

Requirements

  • Basic experience with cameras or video shooting
  • Comfortable handling camera gear and gimbals
  • Available for on-site shoots during weekdays
  • Has reliable transportation
  • Professional and comfortable around clients
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Good communication and attitude on set

Nice to have

  • Experience with Sony, Canon, or similar cameras
  • Experience shooting vertical social media content
  • Basic editing knowledge (Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, etc.)
  • Interest in marketing and content creation

Schedule

Shoot days are scheduled in advance. Most shoots are half day or full day blocks. Flexible freelance structure.

Job Types: Casual, Freelance

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
