Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials within our warehouse environment, ensuring that products are stored, picked, and shipped accurately. This role requires a strong focus on safety and teamwork while operating various types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for moving, shipping, storing or unloading goods and equipment either by hand or with the use of machinery
  • Required to operate a forklift or other machinery to move very heavy items safely and effectively
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule(load, pack, wrap, label, ship, etc.)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products(pick, unload, label, store, etc.)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Report inventory discrepancies.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate and apply preventative maintenance on warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety legislation/guideline at all times.
  • Other duties as required by the warehouse Manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
  • Licensed for both Stand up and Sit down fork lift.
  • Has reliable transportation to work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
