2D Generalist

Taqqut Productions Inc. is an Inuit-owned film production company located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Our films have screened at festivals in eighteen countries and have won over twenty international awards. With its film and television projects, Taqqut has established itself as an innovative leader in Northern youth and children's productions, and aims to preserve the rich storytelling culture of Inuit and the North.

We are looking for a 2D Generalist to work in house to join our small team working on a number of projects including short films and television segments in a variety of styles. This is an in-office position in our Quinte West studio.

The ideal candidate will excel at 2D puppet animation and have strong rigging skills in Harmony. It would be a bonus to have an interest in other areas of production such as backgrounds, character/prop design, and/or storyboarding. We are looking for one interested in growing their skills based on studio needs.

Software Knowledge Required:

• Toonboom Harmony
• Photoshop

Required skills:

• Experience with 2D puppet animation.
• Experience creating character and prop rigs in Harmony.
• Able to switch between projects and art styles frequently.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to take direction from supervisors.
• Able to meet deadlines.
