Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy staff in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will play a vital role in medication administration, assisting with inventory management, and providing exceptional service to patients.

Duties

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
  • Provide medication administration support under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information.
  • Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders for medications and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in a hospital or pharmacy setting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medications, including instructions for use and potential side effects.
  • Utilize medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and communicate with healthcare professionals.
  • Support patient care initiatives by providing assistance during medication therapy management.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient care.
  • A commitment to upholding confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
