Overview

At Bay Park Children's Centre. we provide quality care and education for children birth to four years. We are seeking a candidate to join our team. The successful candidate will provide nurturing care in cooperation with families and colleagues by offering an inclusive and responsive, high quality early learning environment that is developmentally appropriate, safe, welcoming and meets the needs of the children in our care. The position is a 13 month contract with the possibility for extension.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work throughout the centre providing coverage as needed, based upon the number of children in attendance each day.
  • Display flexibility to work independently as well as in a team.
  • To assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programming based on the goals and philosophy of the Centre.
  • Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment.
  • Promote an atmosphere consistent with the philosophy of Bay Park Children's Center.

Skills:

  • Pervious experience in a licensed childcare centre is an asset.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education an asset, related education accepted.
  • Graduates of Early Childhood Education must be a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C
  • Up to Date Immunization Record

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 13 months

Pay: $20.00-$24.86 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
