What this role is all about:

Beem Credit Union is looking for motivated individuals looking to grow a career in financial services to join us in the role of Teller (Part-time). This is a position that offers an abundance of growth and knowledge to launch your professional career in financial services and empower you to be your best. This is not just a job—it's a career. As a Teller, you are the face of Beem Credit Union and first point of contact for our members, you will work closely with our Financial Service Representatives and Account Managers, assisting each other in delivering to our members the right product and the right service at the right time.

This role will be based out of Grand Forks. This cozy town invites you to experience the beauty of the Kootenay region. What you'll do:

• Handle various transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, bank drafts, and loan payments.
• Manage MemberCard, Member Link, and Member Direct accounts.
• Accurately balance ATM transactions and maintain member account documentation securely.
• Ensure compliance with Beem Credit Union security policies regarding cash and related items.
• Maintain accurate balancing of all transaction activities.
• Address member requests and identify opportunities to promote additional banking services and products.
• Respond promptly to member inquiries, escalating complex requests as needed.
• Refer transactions over specified limits to supervisors.
• Undertake additional duties upon request, including managing cash desks, ATMs, and TCRs.
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned.

A little about your qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a sales and service-oriented role, preferably with exposure to handling of cash
• Completion of secondary school diploma
• Excellent customer service and strong relationship-building abilities
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
