Job Summary

This role is to fill an existing vacancy and future requirements.

We are currently hiring for general labourer positions across multiple departments at our Milton plant. No experience is required; we provide full training to help you succeed. Ideal candidates will have good English communication skills, both verbal and written, and a strong work ethic with reliability and a positive team mindset.   • Shifts start from 5:55 AM and 8:15 AM with daily varying daily shift finish times - 3pm to 7pm (flexibility is a must).
  • 40+ hours per week. (Average of hours each week)
  • Over time paid after 44 hours each week.
  • Starting rate of $21.16 per hour plus eligibility for a $1.75/hour attendance bonus.

Duties

  • Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high food safety standards.
  • Works on the production line to process chicken.
  • These positions involve working a rotation of various jobs on the production line.
  • Fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable working with chicken meat products.
  • Dedicated to ensuring that products meet stringent food safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to wear all provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene equipment, including but not limited to face masks, wrist guards, bump cap/hard hat, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, smock, and gloves.
  • Able to physically perform general labour duties
  • Directly helps the department to meet daily targets and goals while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Maintains productivity that meets/exceeds production standards.
  • Dedicated to creating a high-quality product that consistently meets product specifications.
  • Contributes to the team and the whole facility in a positive way.

Skills

  • Punctual and Dependable individuals
  • Good English communication skills is a requirement, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience in a meat processing and packaging environment is a definite asset, but not a must.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hand and eye dexterity.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and prioritize work to maximize efficiency.
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated facility.
  • Comfortable working with raw chicken.
  • Must be flexible in shift finish times as each day will vary.
  • Basic security clearance and background check will be performed.
