About the Role

We're looking for a motivated Product Owner / Business Analyst with 1–2 years of experience in an Agile or Scrum software development environment.

In this role, you'll act as the voice of the customer and the business within the Scrum team—defining requirements, prioritizing features, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that each release delivers measurable business value.

This position is ideal for someone with early experience in product ownership, business analysis, or software delivery who's eager to grow into a full Product Owner role.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Backlog Management

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, users, and the Scrum team to define and maintain the product vision and roadmap.
  • Create, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Write clear, concise, and testable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Continuously refine and reprioritize the backlog based on evolving feedback, insights, and priorities.
  • Partner with the development team to plan sprints and releases effectively.

Requirements & Analysis

  • Gather and analyze business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and actionable user stories.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and constraints early to support efficient project delivery.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
  • Communicate product updates, sprint outcomes, and upcoming feature proposals.
  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are aligned with team capacity and priorities.

Product Delivery & Quality

  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
  • Validate deliverables to ensure they meet acceptance criteria and deliver business value.
  • Gather user feedback and collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar Agile/Scrum role.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proven ability to write effective user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage product backlog items (PBIs).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business problems into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, with strong prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with software systems, APIs, data models, and UX/UI concepts.
  • Comfortable discussing technical trade-offs and constraints with developers.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira Software, Figma, Lucidchart, or Visual Paradigm.
  • Basic understanding of databases, web applications, or REST APIs is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English (French is an asset).z
  • Analytical and curious mindset, with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
  • Empathy for users and an ability to balance business goals with user experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to UI/UX design, QA testing, or software development projects.
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud environments.

À propos du rôle

Principales responsabilités

Propriété des produits et gestion du backlog

Collaborer avec les parties prenantes, les utilisateurs et l'équipe Scrum pour définir et maintenir la vision et la feuille de route du produit.

Créez, hiérarchisez et affinez le backlog produit pour assurer l'alignement avec les objectifs commerciaux et la faisabilité technique.

Rédigez des user stories claires, concises et testables avec des critères d'acceptation bien définis.

Affinez et redéfinissez continuellement les priorités du backlog en fonction de l'évolution des commentaires, des informations et des priorités.

Collaborer avec l'équipe de développement pour planifier efficacement les sprints et les versions.

Exigences et analyse

  • Recueillir et analyser les exigences commerciales, fonctionnelles et non fonctionnelles.
  • Traduisez les besoins de l'entreprise en spécifications techniques claires et en témoignages d'utilisateurs exploitables.
  • Identifiez les dépendances, les risques et les contraintes dès le début pour soutenir une livraison efficace du projet.
  • Communication avec les parties prenantes
  • Agir en tant que liaison principale entre les parties prenantes de l'entreprise et l'équipe de développement.
  • Communiquez les mises à jour de produits, les résultats des sprints et les propositions de fonctionnalités à venir.
  • S'assurer que les attentes des parties prenantes sont alignées sur les capacités et les priorités de l'équipe.
  • Livraison et qualité du produit
  • Participer activement aux cérémonies Scrum (Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).

Compétences et expérience requises

  • 1 à 2 ans d'expérience en tant que Product Owner, Business Analyst ou dans un rôle Agile/Scrum similaire.
  • Solide compréhension des principes Agile, du cadre Scrum et du cycle de vie du développement logiciel (SDLC).
  • Capacité avérée à rédiger des user stories efficaces, à définir des critères d'acceptation et à gérer des éléments de backlog de produit (PBI).
  • Solides compétences analytiques avec la capacité de traduire les problèmes commerciaux en exigences claires et réalisables.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en collaboration avec des publics techniques et non techniques.
