The Role

We're hiring an Internal Web Developer to own and manage our web development ecosystem. This is a hands-on, full-time, in-house role, not a freelance or contract position.

You'll be the technical backbone of our web work, working primarily in HubSpot and WordPress, with occasional support in Shopify. You'll also oversee and collaborate with two off-site development teams, deciding what you take on directly and what you delegate.

The critical piece: when a client or internal team needs something done now, you're here to make it happen.

What You'll Do

  • Build, maintain, and optimize websites in HubSpot CMS and WordPress
  • Provide light-to-moderate development support for Shopify sites
  • Handle urgent updates, fixes, and last-minute requests quickly and confidently
  • Manage and coordinate work with two off-site development teams
  • Decide what to execute personally vs. what to delegate
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across hosting, plugins, themes, forms, tracking, and integrations
  • Work closely with strategists, designers, and account leads to bring concepts to life
  • Maintain clean, scalable, well-documented builds
  • Ensure sites are fast, secure, and SEO-friendly
  • Support ongoing client retainers and new site launches

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience with HubSpot CMS (this is critical)
  • Strong experience with WordPress (custom themes, plugins, troubleshooting)
  • Working knowledge of Shopify (theme edits, minor customizations, app integrations)
  • Webflow and AI experience is a bonus
  • Comfort managing external developers and reviewing their work
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure and handle fast turnarounds
  • A practical mindset: you know when "perfect" is the enemy of "done"
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical issues for non-technical teammates
  • Someone who takes ownership, not just tickets

Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)

  • Experience in a marketing or creative agency
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, analytics, and tracking
  • Basic front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JS) beyond templated work
  • Experience working with staging environments and deployment workflows

We have excellent off-site teams, but when something breaks, changes, or launches at the last minute, we need someone in the building who understands our clients, our standards, and our pace, and can step in when required to finish a task.

Location
