In the role of Internal Communications & Employee Engagement - Summer Student, you will help to support the business priorities that engage Enbridge employees and promote a positive workplace culture.  It's an excellent job for people who are passionate about internal communications and interested in sharing Enbridge's energy transition story. 

Placement Details:

This is a 4 month placement starting in May 2026, located in Calgary, AB.

What you will do:

Internal Communications:

• Help with coordinating team projects, support event logistics, and communications initiatives
• Learn to develop strategic internal communications plans that effectively support business priorities through the lens of our enterprise narratives, including creative plan development, succinct key message creation, effective channels delivery and measurement reporting 
• Collaborate with the broader team to learn and model communications alignment, narrative consistency, editorial planning, and channel effectiveness across stakeholder groups 

Digital Communications

• Support a focused governance strategy and metrics reporting  
• Coordinate and post content to a variety of internal digital channels 
• Provide digital administrative support managing webpages utilizing SharePoint content management systems to upload and edit content
• Help to research, produce and maintain a variety of digital governance materials and reports

Supporting Culture and Employee Experience

• Support storytelling through the creation of a variety of internal content to champion culture, employee conversations and build understanding inside Enbridge and drive employee engagement, brand awareness, shape trust, and support risk and reputation management 

Who you are: 

• You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Communications, Journalism or Public Relations and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
• Enthusiastic about building culture, employee experience, digital innovation and enablement and organizational alignment through effective internal communications
• Skilled in writing, editing, communications development, and project management. Effective verbal communicator.
• Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot is an asset
• Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., SharePoint). Experience with digital reporting using Google Analytics or similar platforms 
• Previous related experience, including other co-op or summer placements will be considered an asset
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to adapt and be flexible on work assignments.
• Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge's core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

• Office based role, located in Calgary, AB
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
