Automotive Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in dealership environments a plus. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, including electrical and mechanical components, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Work with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) as needed for modern vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with advisors regarding vehicle's needs and repair status.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician, preferably in a dealership setting is an asset.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, including the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with Ford vehicles is a plus; experience with diesel engine repair is also desirable.
- Ability to perform alignment services and understand auto estimating processes.
- Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills to provide outstanding customer service.

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
