Student and New Grad Opportunities

Our student and new grad opportunities include internships and co-op programs, all designed to give your career a strong start. Winter work terms begin at four months in length and may be extended for an additional Two months or more, depending on business needs. Most roles are full-time.

Ideal if Studying or recently graduated from a program with a focus in finance, Accounting, Commerce, marketing & communications.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Tax Preparer located in Ottawa, ON. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for Individual T1 tax preparation, tax law compliance, and financial analysis on a day-to-day basis.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Prepare Income Tax Return for the Individuals and Businesses
  • Prepare Self Employed and Investment Returns
  • Maintaining financial records; posting transactions and ensuring compliance
  • Bank reconciliations and government remittances
  • Posting to and analyzing the general ledger (month-end closings)
  • Monthly accruals
  • Process Remitances like WSIB, HST, Source Deductions etc.

Qualifications

  • QuickBooks online experience is asset.
  • Bilingual is asset -
    Fluent English is must.
  • Tax Preparation and Tax forms knowledge
  • Experience in preparing T1
  • Strong understanding of Finance principles
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enrollment in an eligible co-op program is required.
