Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and perform vehicle maintenance as needed. A valid commercial driver's license and experience with freight handling are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
  • Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities.
  • Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and freight handling.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving or freight delivery is preferred.
  • Skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair are advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing deliveries accurately.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
