Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating fresh, delicious products that delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery items.
  • Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately, using scales, mixers, and other baking equipment.
  • Monitor baking process, adjusting oven temperatures and baking times as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies; report shortages or equipment issues to management.
  • Assist in developing new recipes and seasonal items.
  • Ensure all baked goods meet company standards for freshness, taste, and appearance.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to meet customer needs efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and passion for baking and presentation.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced bakery or kitchen setting.
  • May require working in hot environments near ovens and other baking equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
