We're building a thriving organization that's purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.As a Learning Experience Designer your responsibilities will include: Drive engagement and impact through the planning, design and development of clear, engaging and visually compelling learning solutions that enhance learning retention and on-the-job performanceDemonstrate creativity and initiative through the design and development of industry-leading learning solutions including, but not limited to, ILT, workshops, conferences, e-Learning, videos, podcasts and job aids as neededIncorporate our vision and purpose into everything you doProvide value-added professional advice to business partners to solve business challenges and enhancing learning design and effectivenessWork collaboratively with subject matter experts to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of learning solutionsApply professional experience and judgment in the planning and accomplishment of projects, initiatives and professional goalsManage learning design and delivery to meet timelines and budgetsMaintain your external network to understand the competitive landscape, and keep abreast of industry developments, including new technology solutions and trendsTackle various projects related to learning and development, as requiredDoane Grant ThorntonIf you're a bit like us, you're driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick: Completed post-secondary education, professional certification or equivalent experience in training and development / instructional design – CTDP Designation would be an asset3+ years' experience in designing & developing learning solutions to support performance including, but not limited to, ILT, workshops, conferences, e-Learning, videos, podcasts and job aidsExtremely creative, with a keen eye for visuals and the ability to develop engaging, visually appealing mediaSolid knowledge and experience of course development software, such as Articulate Storyline and RiseExperience designing/editing with graphic media tools, video, audio, animation/motion graphics and simulationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build relationships with and influence individuals from all areas, role levels and functions in the firmStrong consultative skills, are very creative and agile, and possess excellent SME and stakeholder interviewing skillsDemonstrated experience developing and delivering best-in-class on-line/e-learning courses and in-person development solutionsStrengths in working both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamStrong organizational skills, along with the ability to work effectively and successfully under pressureExperience in basic project management and client relationship managementFlexible to occasionally travel within Canada as requiredCan share samples of your work during the interview process, if requestedMay have additional assets such as background in/knowledge of Accounting practices; certifications/experience in Design Thinking, Change Management, Project Management, Lean/Six Sigma, AgileAt Doane Grant Thornton we're focused on making a difference in the lives of our clients, our colleagues and our communities.
