You'll take ownership of our end-to-end automated testing using Playwright and TypeScript, contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements, and help evolve our overall approach to quality engineering. Beyond writing tests, you'll influence how we think about risk, coverage, and release readiness.

We're looking for someone with strong technical foundations in testing or development who is passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and delivering a high-quality user experience. You'll have space to introduce new tools, experiment with AI-assisted workflows, and help shape the future of QA at Minutebox.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable test automation code following best practices
  • Implement and maintain test automation design patterns such as the Page Object Model (POM)

Testing Activities

  • Perform testing across multiple levels including unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and identify failures or gaps in coverage
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and context

CI/CD & Infrastructure

  • Set up, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution
  • Configure and manage test environments and test data
  • Monitor test execution results and report on test metrics and trends
  • Troubleshoot flaky tests, pipeline failures, and environmental issues

Collaboration & Code Review

  • Review developer pull requests from a quality and testability perspective
  • Participate in code reviews for test automation code
  • Collaborate with developers to understand code changes and identify testing scenarios
  • Work closely with Product to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Explore and implement AI tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and workflows
  • Stay current with testing trends, tools, and automation best practices
  • Identify opportunities to expand automation coverage and improve QA processes
  • Contribute to QA documentation and internal knowledge sharing

Prerequisites:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in QA, software testing, or software development
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript, with the ability to write, read, and debug code
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, with Playwright preferred (or Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer)
  • Solid understanding of software testing theory, including test levels, test types, and test design techniques
  • Experience testing APIs, including knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Experience using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred/Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
  • Hands-on experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
  • SQL knowledge for test data validation and verification
  • Experience using API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or Playwright's API testing capabilities
