Summary
We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our dynamic team at Panam Group International Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining communication with drivers and clients. Your contributions will be vital in upholding our reputation for excellence in service.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding their routes and schedules.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics.
- Analyze data related to shipping and receiving to optimize operations.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements and documentation.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide updates on shipment status.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze shipping data for operational improvements.
- Familiarity with Expert Dispatch software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of freight operations and shipping/receiving processes is essential.
- Knowing Punjabi/hindi is an asset
- Office is a non smoking environment
