Role Description

Veem is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer for a full-time, remote role located in Toronto, ON. The Principal DevOps Engineer will take the lead in designing, building, and maintaining robust deployment pipelines and infrastructure tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC), ensuring smooth continuous integration and delivery processes, and providing expertise in system administration and Linux environments. Additional tasks include collaborating with software developers and cross-functional teams to enhance scalable, secure, and efficient operations across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Strong background in Software Development and Continuous Integration practices
  • Expertise in System Administration and Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in leading DevOps teams or large-scale projects is highly desirable
