RAM is a project delivery firm specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. Key Responsibilities

  • Support on the implementation and maintenance of the Documented Information Program both internally and for contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Manage the document organization system, including understanding and using the Document Number System.
  • Review documents to ensure writing and formatting requirements are followed, including controlling document changes through version control.
  • Participate in team meetings to develop and ensure team department objectives are accomplished.
  • Support project teams throughout the project lifecycle from project initiation to close-out regarding document control activities including:
  • Support managing project RFPs and RFQs submissions, addendums, and logs.
  • Ensure documents are distributed and communicated to project stakeholders through transmittals.
  • Manage Document Control email and respond to various inquiries.
  • Manage project documents and transmittal Logs.
  • Assist Lead/Senior Document Controller as required.
  • Manage project external documents including receiving, filing, distributing, reviewing, and returning the documents (if applicable).

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, On Track, SharePoint, Live link etc.
  • Advanced to Expert level proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office programs and Adobe, experience with other document control systems considered an asset.
  • Exposure to filing structures, EDMS structures, possibly internet-based project collaboration systems (SharePoint), relational databases and multiple complex major projects.
  • Exposure to and basic level knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Management and Project Control terminology.
  • Advanced computer skill level and knowledge of Windows Explorer directory structures, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) or equivalent database knowledge is essential.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) and Environmental Management policies and procedures.
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
