We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to work with us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. The Estimator will collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that all factors—such as labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs—are accounted for in the estimation process. The role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction methods, and the ability to provide clear and concise reporting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare cost estimates.

- Evaluate labor, material, and equipment requirements to determine project costs.

- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather information for accurate estimates.

- Prepare detailed, itemized cost breakdowns for construction projects.

- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

- Work closely with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and identify potential risks or challenges.

- Analyze cost trends and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for potential clients.

- Ensure that estimates are within the client's budget while maintaining project quality and compliance with building codes and regulations.

- Update and maintain cost databases for future reference.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a related field.

- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.

- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

**Working Conditions:**

- FREELANCE / Payment by project

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Certification from a professional organization such as AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) or ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimators).

- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
