Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales through effective upselling and team leadership. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair, dealership experience, and excellent management skills to maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Manage the service department operations, including scheduling, workflow, and staff supervision
  • Ensure timely and quality automotive repairs by coordinating with technicians and mechanics
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repair options, and ensuring satisfaction
  • Upsell additional services and maintenance to enhance revenue while meeting customer needs
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper financial records
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate service staff to foster a productive team environment
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies necessary for repairs
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve department efficiency and profitability

Qualifications

  • Dealership experience preferred; automotive repair knowledge is essential
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an automotive service environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to understand repair processes and communicate effectively with technicians
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Sales experience with a focus on upselling additional services or products
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage financial documentation
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive performance
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing operations and records
