Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Long-Haul Truck Owner-Operators who have their own truck and possibly trailers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances (Ontario-Quebec), ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all transportation regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance during trips.
  • Follow established routes and schedules while being flexible to adapt to changes in delivery plans.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Own truck
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in long haul or freight transportation.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance on the road.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions on the road.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations throughout all operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,000.00-$7,000.00 per week
