The Granite Club is looking for a seasonal Camp Leader who will lead counsellors and campers through activities and provide a safe and stimulating environment for children in the Recreation camp program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safe check in and out of campers every day.
  • Assist children to get ready for activities
  • Provide a safe and fun environment for the campers.
  • Ensure rules are adhered to.
  • Answer questions or concerns from parents regarding the camps.
  • Play games with the campers indoors and outdoors.
  • Encourage campers to engage in sports and recreation activities to their best abilities.
  • Be on time for shift and ensure you are prepared for the day's activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Previous Camp Counsellor experience an asset.
  • Responsible and patient person who enjoys working with children.
  • Physically active and enjoys playing sports, including basketball and soccer. Experience working with children would be an asset.
  • Previous experience working as a camp counselor would be an asset. Ability to develop children's love for sports.
  • Current First Aid and CPR.
  • Safety Training (WHMIS)
