Job Overview:

As a Warehouse Worker/Material Handler at our trucking company, you will be a key player in our logistics team, focusing on the manual handling and organization of freight.

Responsibilities:

Freight Handling:

  • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate methods to prevent shifting during transit.
  • Palletize loose boxes and securely wrap them for stability.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against bills of lading and packing slips.

Warehouse Organization & Safety:

  • Accurately sort and label freight according to destination, service type, or special handling instructions.
  • Stage sorted freight in the designated outbound area for driver pickup.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in checking and documenting the condition of freight, reporting any visible damage or issues.
  • Affix shipping labels and documentation to appropriate parcels and pallets.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Basic math and reading skills.

Attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.

Punctual and responsible.
