Job Title: Security Guard (Front Desk)

Hours:

28 to 44 hours per week (Permanent, up to Full-Time)

Availability: 7 days a week, as required by operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify security risks or breaches.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations.
  • Report updates or incidents to management and on-site security supervisors.
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct periodic patrols and ensure the building remains in an orderly and secure condition.

Shift Information

(Please read carefully — shifts may change based on operational requirements)

Monday to Friday:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight)

Saturday & Sunday:

  • 12-hour or 8-hour shifts, depending on site needs.

Note: You must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License (mandatory).
  • Minimum 1 year of prior security experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Must follow all company and site policies, procedures, and protocols without exception.

  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm and composed under pressure.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Familiarity with CCTV and other security systems.
  • Physically able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
