The Principal, Cloud Security Engineering will be a core member of the Cloud Security Architecture Team, responsible for leading the design, development, and formalization of cloud security patterns and capabilities into foundational and transformational products across the enterprise. This role collaborates with business lines, IT support, and Information Security & Control functions, and serves as the lead subject matter expert in cloud security via Security Consultations.

- Develop, formalize, and maintain reusable security architecture patterns for cloud security capabilities.
- Provide technical direction in the design of security controls, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term strategic direction.
- Champion the adoption of security patterns across teams and projects.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert, representing Cloud Security Architecture on transformational programs.
- Facilitate, influence, and govern best practices through security architecture patterns, designs, and implementation blueprints.
- Partner with Enterprise, Security Architecture, and other cross-functional teams (Cyber Security Services, Fraud Management, Corporate Security) to integrate security patterns into enterprise technologies, strategies, and roadmaps.
- Support Enterprise Architecture review boards with cloud security input, ensuring enterprise decisions incorporate practical and standardized security patterns.
- Participate in major initiatives as the security subject matter expert (e.g., Cloud Security, Policy-as-Code).
Skills

:
- 10+ years hands-on technical experience in implementing and deploying complex or large-scale cloud applications/systems/platforms in an enterprise setting.
- Deep knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud security (GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, IAM, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).
- Proven ability to develop, formalize, and maintain reusable cloud security architecture patterns that are adopted across enterprise environments.
- Serve as a thought leader in cloud security architecture, influencing the evolution of security patterns and best practices across the organization.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, encouraging innovative approaches to cloud security challenges.
- Familiarity with formal Enterprise Architecture methodologies.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills; ability to coach and mentor staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to present confidently to executives.
- Technical experience in the financial industries is preferred.
- Advanced communication skills in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
- Security accreditations (CISSP, CCSP, cloud security certifications) are an asset.
