Job Description

The Ruby on Rails Developer would join our Digital Delivery practice and contribute to the design and development of internal and client-facing applications.

  • Involvement in architecting, developing, reviewing, and testing of new features for internal and client-based projects
  • Primary focus on our main application developed using Ruby on Rails and VueJS / NodeJS
  • Interaction with clients as part of the development team where necessary
  • Option to attend team-building events and develop solid working relationships with your colleagues
  • Flexible work environment paired with your responsibility to clearly understand deadlines and quality of deliverables.
Qualifications
  • At least 5+ Years of Experience with Ruby / Ruby on Rail
  • 5+ Years with front-end technologies (VueJs/React/Angular 2+ - Typescript preferred)
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with RDBMS (Postgresql preferred)
  • Experience with Asynchronous Job Processing (Redis, Delayed Job etc)
  • Exceptional understanding of the basics of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient with distributed source control systems like Git, Mercurial

Highly desired:

  • Keen eye for UI/UX design
  • Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking
  • Experience with other languages and web frameworks such as django (Python), (Spring Framework) Java, Sinatra (Ruby)
  • Experience with RSpec, Rack Middleware and custom Gems
  • Some understanding of DevOps practices with a willingness to get your hands dirty with day to day devops. Working with GitLab CI, Chef, docker
