Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks to ensure smooth operations and high-quality meal preparation. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while supporting the cooking staff in delivering exceptional food service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
  • Support cooks with food handling and meal preparation tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Skills

  • Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and Food Safety Certification.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Basic cooking skills or willingness to learn meal preparation techniques.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed throughout the kitchen.
