Whitecourt AB TS W, Canada Flex Tank and Vac Ltd Full time

The Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) is required to perform a full range of diagnosing, maintenance, repair and services on heavy equipment, tankers and vac trucks.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Red Seal HET
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Air Brake Endorsed (Q) is a bonus
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Pass Pre employment drug and alcohol testing

Requirements

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment using advanced troubleshooting tools
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty equipment including vacuum trucks, trailers, and fluid hauling units.
  • Preventative maintenance, and equipment overhauls, prepare for CVIP's
  • Complete detailed service reports,
  • Respond to service calls
  • Rotating on-call schedule. (every second weekend)
  • Work independently in both shop and field environments.

Preferences:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification; Red Seal preferred
  • Shop / Field experience with heavy equipment repairs and diagnostics
  • Commitment to safety
  • Strong communication skills and paperwork completion for work orders, service records, and maintenance documentation accurately
  • Insite program knowledge
  • Valid Class 5/G driver's license
  • Experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt
  • Provide own tools
  • Local to Whitecourt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
