We support contractors, facilities teams, and building owners with high-quality equipment solutions and exceptional ongoing technical service. Our in-house technical team provides hands-on training, field support, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for LG VRF systems across the Lower Mainland.

As our portfolio of supported buildings continues to grow, we are expanding our technical team and looking for a dedicated HVAC professional to join us.

Position Overview

We are seeking a 
Field Service Technician
 focused primarily on 
LG VRF systems
. This role is approximately 
90% field work
 and 
10% office/training facility
, supporting both contracted maintenance sites and service calls from contractors, building managers, and facilities teams.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in the field, enjoys solving complex HVAC issues, and is eager to grow their technical expertise with manufacturer-level support and training.

Key Responsibilities

Field Support & Troubleshooting

  • Respond to service requests from refrigeration contractors and facilities managers to diagnose, investigate, and repair LG VRF and split-system equipment.
  • Perform on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, and operation phases.
  • Support breakdown recovery to restore heating and cooling systems quickly and effectively.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on buildings supported by Climacool.
  • Conduct filter cleaning, coil cleaning, data recording, system checks, and homeowner/tenant tutorials.

Training & Inspections

  • Participate in and occasionally lead contractor installation training sessions at our facility.
  • Conduct site inspections during construction or installation to ensure proper equipment setup and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with the internal technical team to communicate findings and share field knowledge.
  • Accurately document service activities, troubleshooting steps, and system conditions.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with 
    HVAC or refrigeration systems
     (VRF experience is a strong asset but not required—training is provided).
  • Ability to diagnose electrical and refrigeration issues in the field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently at job sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
