Job Overview

As a Spartan Fitness Equipment Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and promoting our range of fitness equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, understand their needs, and guide them in selecting the right products to enhance their fitness journey. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in navigating the store.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of fitness equipment.
  • Utilize POS systems for processing transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs.
  • Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, product features, and industry trends to effectively assist customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or the fitness industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and phone etiquette.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
  • Experience with stocking and merchandising products effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate fitness equipment knowledge through engaging product demos.
  • Ability to lift and move light to moderate items as part of daily tasks
