Role Description

This is a full-time, site based role for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer. The role involves developing and optimizing mine plans, managing mine designs, conducting analyses, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. The Senior Mine Planning Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform cost analyses, and provide innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

  • 10 year experience in mine planning, mine design, and long-term reserve management
  • Strong skills in data analysis, resource optimization, and cost management
  • Experience with mining software tools like MinePlan, Surpac, or similar systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions
  • Strong project management and team collaboration abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental and safety regulations relevant to mining
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation required
  • Previous experience in the mining or natural resources industry
