Position Summary

Kiewit is hiring an experienced Forklift and Zoom boom operator for the Woodfibre Project in Squamish, BC.This role involves operating various types of equipment in a marine-adjacent industrial environment. Candidates must be comfortable working around water and performing tasks such as backing up trailers onto barges and loading/offloading materials and equipment.

Requirements
  • 5+ years experience operating zoom boom, calmar or similar forklift, shunt truck, high way truck and trailer
  • Must have Marine experience:
  • Using skiff boat
  • Backing trailers onto barges
  • Loading/offloading equipment and materials from barges
  • Must have Class 1 Driver's license and provide 5 year Driver's Abstract
  • Valid Zoom Boom Ticket
  • Valid Forklift Ticket
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015
  • Leadhand experience is a plus
Shift Information
  • 14/7 rotation
  • Must be available to work any of the following rotations: 14/7, 21/7, 14/14, 10/4
  • Must be available to work days or nights
Additional Information
  • Wage: $43.30/hour
  • Upon an offer, all candidates must be able to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test.
