commercial plumbing and HVAC services for both new construction and renovation

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Plumbing Lead to oversee all plumbing operations across our job

sites. This is a working lead position ideal for a Red Seal Plumber ready to take the next

step in leadership. The Plumbing Lead is responsible for supervising plumbing crews,

ensuring quality installations, coordinating with other trades, managing job site

timelines, and contributing to overall project success. This role is ideal for a high

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day plumbing activities across construction sites

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing

systems

• Proactively identify and propose quality improvements and cost-saving

techniques without compromising safety, code, QAI compliance, or warranty;

document outcomes and share best practices with the team.

• Supervise and mentor plumbing apprentices and journeypersons

• Coordinate, approve, and track time off, vacation, and medical appointments for

the plumbing team, ensuring coverage, schedule updates, and compliance with

company policy and applicable laws.

• Ensure end-to-end compliance with all QAI requirements and procedures, from

planning and documentation through inspections, corrective actions, final sign-

off, and record retention

• Ensure all installations meet local plumbing codes and project specifications

• Coordinate workflow with site supervisors, other trades

• Monitor inventory and manage site tools and equipment

• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing system issues on-site

-Coordinate all material purchasing through the purchasing department and

ensure needs are properly communicated to allow for material leveling

• Maintain safety protocols and ensure team compliance with safety regulations

• Communicate clearly and professionally with project managers and clients

• Coordinate to timely maintain all warranty related issues covered under CD

• Ensure correct selections and material stocks are addressed in a timely manner

to keep workflow moving efficiently

• Invoice completed jobs accurately and promptly

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

• Red Seal Certified Plumber (or equivalent provincial certification)

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on plumbing experience

• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead hand role

• Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems, including rough-in and finishing

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Effective communication and leadership skills

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Commitment to safety and team culture

Preferred:

• Experience in modular or prefabricated construction environments

• Gasfitter certification (Class B or A)

• Cross Connection Control certification

• Experience with heat pump or hydronic heating systems

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
