Quality Lead

Fleetwood Metal Indsutries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Press Operator in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Quality Team Lead is responsible for leading the Quality associates, ensuring consistent quality standards are maintained and effective quality assurance processes are applied across the plants. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cold stamping, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Daily support including shift rotation/scheduling for departments Quality Auditors. New Employee/Hire Quality training as required.
• Supporting/promoting open communication with Production Supervisors/Quality Auditors as Quality concerns arise (i.e. containment, quarantine area, etc.).
• Quality clerical functions (i.e. data input, maintaining, generating and storing files). Generating Quality Alerts and distributing as required. Issuing/Purging of documents on plant floor as needed. Monitoring Hold Tag log.
• Supporting Quality representative when required (i.e. blueprints required, Master Part(s) needed, etc.).
• Daily support and auditing for plants Quarantine and EPC area (i.e. timely disposition, rework/sort instructions, customer specific requirements, etc.).
• Fill in as Quality Auditor or Destruct when staffing restrictions require so.
• Assist with maintaining and calibrating all plants checking fixtures and associated equipment.
• Working with and monitoring customer portal/database to ensure IPP/clean point loads are completed correctly and in a timely fashion, and no new issues arise.
• Audits of quality process when required for Quality Supervisor review.
• Support all new model activities as required, communicating with plant QE as needed.
• All other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Fluent with Microsoft Office, CMS, LMI and other various PC related tools.· Excellent attendance, and excellent written and oral communication skills required
• Solid Quality background (i.e. Interpreting Customer Specs, utilizing various measuring tools and methods, interpreting blueprints, check fixture methods and best practice) will train candidate if required.
• Knowledge of QA production processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift license
