Reporting to the Controller, this role supports budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives that enhance financial performance and decision-making. Providing leadership to the regional finance team, the Regional Controller plays a key role in aligning financial practices with corporate strategy and maintaining a visible presence within the markets supported.
How You'll Add Value
- Play a key leadership role in advancing the financial strategy and operational effectiveness of the business, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Lead and mentor the regional finance team, including Project Accountants and Accounting Administrators, fostering professional growth, accountability, and collaboration
- Unify legacy finance teams under a cohesive structure by promoting consistency, clarity, and collaboration across regions
- Build strong partnerships with Regional Managers and operational teams to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights
- Provide strategic financial guidance to help Regional Managers interpret results and make data-driven decisions aligned with regional goals
- Develop and maintain meaningful financial metrics, tools, and dashboards that enhance visibility into operational performance
- Oversee all regional finance functions—including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls—while supporting project-level financial health
- Champion the company's core values of Safety, People, and Performance, promoting a culture of integrity and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations, maintaining the integrity and consistency of accounting practices
- Contribute to corporate financial initiatives such as budgeting, variance analysis, and process improvements that enhance decision-making
- Leverage a strong understanding of the ERP system to support consistent financial processes and accurate reporting across all business units
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Controller and senior leadership team, contributing to a unified, high-performing finance organization.
What You Bring
- A professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) and 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in construction or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple regions
- Experience with the ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365), with the ability to optimize processes and ensure system integrity
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
- Flexibility to travel within the region and maintain visibility across supported operations
