Job Summary
The Junior Land Agent role is essential for facilitating the development and operation of telecommunications, wireline and pipeline infrastructure. This position involves research tasks, interacting with landowners and occupants, identifying potential sites for new installations, engaging with municipal authorities, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a high energy and positive attitude, driven and self motivated, eager to learn and grow

Responsibilities
- Research and reporting on various land interests, document drafting
- Identify and evaluate potential sites for telecommunications installations, ensuring they meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with land owners to acquire new sites and to maintain tenure in good standing on existing sites.
- Facilitate on the ground construction crews with land owners liaising support.
- Engage with local municipalities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for site acquisition.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine suitability for development.
- Prepare and submit applications for zoning variances, building permits, and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and legal.
- Maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and residents.
- Provide regular updates to management on project status, challenges, and opportunities.
Experience
- A solid understanding of the real estate landscape in BC is required.
- Proficient in MS Office applications is required
- Proficiency using GIS software or other mapping tools is a plus.
- At least 2 years experience in a related field.
- Experience in site acquisition or municipal affairs within the telecommunications, oil and gas or public utility industries is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions regarding site suitability.
- A bachelor's degree in real estate, urban planning, business administration, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
