Overview:

Fountain Tire Mine Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Warehouse Associate to be a key player at our Acheson Distribution Centre

Summary of the role:

As a vital member of the Mine Service team, the purpose of this role is to lead effective planning, direction, and coordination of transportation, storage, and distribution of inventory while ensuring organizational compliance and meeting all service promises to the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the shipping and receiving operations of the FTMS distribution team
  • Coordinate the processing of outgoing products; preparing and loading material in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines
  • Arranging the transportation of materials as required, ensuring tracking of outgoing products is accurate, and achieving customer commitments
  • Create and ensure adherence to shipping schedules for large seasonal shipments, new mine site operations or de-mobilization of mine operations
  • Ensure end to end warehouse processes are completed and adhered to by warehouse associates
  • Resolve distribution issues by working directly with other departments, and /or the customer.
  • Resolve employee issues with non-biased opinions, while adhering to Human Resource policies

What does it take to get on track?

  • Completion of a High School diploma and 5 years of experience in the distribution industry in a leadership role
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Distribution and Supply Chain courses and certificates are considered a strong asset
  • Working knowledge of materials handling equipment, forklift operation and distribution centre processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate a team to achieve operational performance measurement targets
  • Basic computer skills to successfully complete required learning and safety courses, as well as basic functionality in D365.
  • A customer service approach with the ability to meet deadlines and provide solutions to sensitive matters.
