Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver based out of Wheatley, Ontario. The successful candidate will operate company trucks equipped with either a box or flatbed trailer, transporting goods within Southwestern Ontario (up to the Greater Toronto Area) and across the border to Michigan and Ohio. This is a part-time position with the opportunity for full-time hours when covering other drivers' vacations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate AZ vehicles safely and professionally, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Secure flatbed loads using proper strapping techniques; experience with load securement is required.
  • Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately complete all required border crossing and shipping documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.

Requirements:

  • Valid AZ Driver's Licence with a minimum of 3 years of verified experience.
  • Must have recent driving experience within the last 12 months (no retired or inactive drivers).
  • Experience operating both box and flatbed trucks, including proper load strapping.
  • Must be eligible to cross the U.S. border (Michigan and Ohio routes).
  • Ability to provide a current CVOR and driver's abstract showing a safe driving record.
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing as required.
  • Confirmation of previous employment preferred.
  • Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.

Schedule:

  • Part-time with opportunity for full-time hours during vacation coverage.
  • Home daily – no overnight runs.
