Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist/Pre-tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will make a great first impression for our patients as they complete registration and entry testing before their eye exam. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth patient flow between the front desk and exam room.

Duties

  • Perform basic entry testing before eye exams (automated machines).
  • Greet and assist patients in a courteous manner.
  • Manage incoming calls.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar.
  • Handle patient records with confidentiality in compliance with PHIPA.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks to support the overall efficiency of the office.

Skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office.
  • Proficient phone etiquette to handle calls professionally and effectively.
  • Experience in an optometry office or a medical office is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage files accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

All training for this role can be done on the job so any candidate who learns quickly and likes to be busy at work will be considered.
