About the RoleElmwood Spa — one of Toronto's most recognized urban day spas — is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee operations for our downtown properties: Elmwood Spa, Bangkok Garden Restaurant, and Elmwood Business Offices.Job DescriptionElmwood Spa and elmspa are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor – Operations to oversee and perform day-to-day maintenance activities across our spa facilities. This is a hands-on supervisory role in a live, guest-facing environment, supporting safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the Building Operator for system-level issues and does not include engineering or building system optimization responsibilities.What You'll Be DoingSupervise and perform daily maintenance across spa facilities, including treatment rooms, pools, steam rooms, saunas, change rooms, and back-of-house areasRespond promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies, including after-hours calls as part of an on-call rotationComplete minor repairs and corrective maintenance within approved scopeExecute and document preventative maintenance tasks and routine inspectionsSupervise and schedule maintenance staff to support operational needsCoordinate approved contractors and trades, ensuring work is authorized, safe, and minimally disruptiveMaintain work orders, maintenance logs, keys, and access recordsEscalate system-level issues to the Building Operator or management as requiredSupport health, safety, and environmental compliance (WHMIS, PPE, pool operations support)Communicate clearly with Operations, Spa Leadership, and other departmentsWhat We're Looking For3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (hospitality, spa, or guest-facing environments preferred)Previous supervisory or lead-hand experienceWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool systemsPool maintenance experience requiredWHMIS certification requiredAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotationBondable with a clean criminal background checkBenefits & PerksExtended health, dental, and vision benefits after six monthsPaid vacation and statutory holidaysEmployee spa services and product discountsUniforms and safety equipment providedOpportunities for training and professional developmentSupportive, team-oriented work environmentThis Role Is a Good Fit If YouPrefer a hands-on, operational role rather than an engineering positionAre comfortable working in a live, guest-facing environmentCan prioritize tasks and remain calm under pressureEnjoy leading a team and coordinating work to keep operations running smoothlyElmwood Spa & elmspa are equal opportunity employers.
