Rocky Johnson Contracting Inc. is hiring experienced Concrete Finishers and Cribbers for challenging, hands-on work in the Grande Prairie region. This role involves blueprint reading, formwork installation, structural layout, concrete pouring, and high-quality finishing. Candidates must be confident with elevation tools, trowel equipment, and durable flatwork execution. This is a physically demanding position for reliable, skilled tradespeople who take pride in getting it right the first time.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience as a cribber and/or concrete finisher
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings
• Skilled in building, setting, aligning, and stripping formwork to spec
• Experience installing sleepers, walers, ties, locks, and form systems
• Background with structural components like walls, grade beams, elevator shafts, piers, abutments, and bridge decks
• Ability to direct and manage safe, efficient concrete pours
• Proficient with screeds, vibrators, floats, hand tools, and both ride-on and walk-behind power trowels
• Confident with construction lasers and shooting elevations
• Ability to produce flat, level, spec-grade finishes
• Strong understanding of formwork systems and concrete behavior
• Physically capable of performing demanding site work
• Strong commitment to safety; able to follow site-specific safety plans
• Ability to identify hazards and take corrective action
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
• Consistent punctuality and preparedness on-site
