Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced, certified Millwright to perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems on amusement devices. This hands-on role ensures rides operate at peak performance while adhering to the highest safety standards (ASTM, manufacturer specifications, and TSSA regulatory requirements).

Duties:

Perform daily, weekly, and annual preventative maintenance on ride mechanical systems, including gearboxes, drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, sprockets, and bearings.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, structural issues, and wear components during both scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
  • Align, level, and anchor machinery using precision tools (laser alignment, dial indicators, etc.).
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed (steel, aluminum).
  • Conduct thorough inspections and complete detailed documentation in accordance with ASTM

F770, F846, and other relevant standards.

  • Assist with ride installations, relocations, and major overhauls.
  • Collaborate with ride operators, electricians, and engineers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certified Millwright (Journeyman/Red Seal or provincial/state equivalent) – required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience with heavy machinery.
  • Proven experience maintaining amusement rides strongly preferred (roller coasters, Ferris wheels, drop towers, etc.).
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong skills in welding (MIG, TIG, stick), rigging, and machining.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Additional certifications an asset: ADM-AR, NAARSO Level I/II, AIMS Maintenance, Working at heights, fall protection, confined space, aerial lift operation.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working in demanding environments. Duties require being outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak seasons.
