Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping Receiving / Order Picking Associate to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, inventory management, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment, with proficiency in warehouse management systems and equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting e-commerce and distribution channels.

Duties

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Load and unload shipments utilizing pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks while adhering to safety protocols
  • Stock shelves and organize inventory efficiently for easy retrieval and restocking
  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklift, reach truck, and pallet jack to move products safely
  • Prepare shipments for dispatch by packaging items securely according to company standards
  • Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against packing lists, and update inventory records in AS400 or MRP systems
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management system software
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock audits, and inventory reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures during all warehouse activities
  • Support e-commerce order fulfillment processes ensuring timely delivery to customers

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or order picking preferred
  • Proficiency with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, MRP systems is a plus
  • Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, pallet jack safely; certification preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and packing
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation standards
  • E-commerce experience is advantageous but not mandatory
