Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Gas Station Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. This role involves assisting customers with fuel purchases, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. A successful Gas Station Attendant will demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their fuel purchases and inquiries.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including fueling areas, convenience store, and restrooms.
  • Stock shelves with merchandise and ensure that products are displayed attractively for upselling opportunities.
  • Conduct product demos to promote new items or special offers to customers.
  • Supervise other staff members during shifts as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in merchandising efforts to maximize sales potential within the store.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Proficiency in operating POS systems and basic math for transaction handling.
  • Experience in retail sales, including upselling techniques and merchandising strategies.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately with attention to detail in cash handling processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with phone etiquette proficiency.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs.
  • Previous experience in supervising staff is beneficial for managing daily operations effectively.
  • Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
