What the day will look like

As a Commercial Risk intern at Linx, you'll experience the full lifecycle of our business including the use of data and analytics to measure profitability, the importance of understanding claims and how they impact the underwriting of risk, negotiating new business and renewals, through to working on new business initiatives to profitably grow our business.

Linx has over 30 colleagues in offices across Canada including Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax and Montreal and has adopted flexible working including hybrid working with this role to be based in Halifax.

You'll be involved in underwriting negotiations, developing relationships with our broking partners to understanding how we manage our portfolios to ensure that we maintain sustainable, profitable, and long standing relationships with our capital providers.

• Flexibility and adaptability to working in different business/segment teams
• Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package

Education:

• Enrolled in a Post-Secondary degree in finance, business administration, risk, insurance or any related field.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications (I.e. General Insurance Level 1)
